Mr. Lappala is the author of over 40 publications, hundreds of consulting reports, and dozens of presentations.  He was the principal author of the computer program VS2D, the hydraulic component of VS2DTI which is widely used in the environmental industry to analyze problems of water and contaminant transport in the vadose zone.
